Message	It was actually Nissan President Katsuji Kawamata who really enjoyed the play "My Fair Lady" and he named the Datsun 1500 "The Fairlady". He thought it would envoke an image of beauty of the leading lady in the play and also its music. Mr. K thought it was too wimpy for the American market and he changed the named to the 240Z.
